About the Artist
Caroline Jaine is Bristol born eco-artist based near Stroud. She almost exclusively uses found, reclaimed and recycled materials in her work. As a lifelong creative, who has also managed a career in diplomacy, university education and journalism, Caroline has exhibited her own art work and curated exhibitions worldwide for well known charities and international organisations. She has also completed a wealth of commissioned paintings, many of which have been portraits, and says her work is focussed on offering peace, comfort or healing. Several of her portraits are now owned by the UK Government Art Collection, and two of her paintings reside at Stroud’s Museum in the Park. Caroline has a Masters in Fine Art from Cambridge School of Art and has spent time as artist-in-residence at the Humanitarian Centre and worked professionally as a studio artist. Caroline is a resident artist at Studio 18.
