About the Artist
"Pre-2020 I largely enjoyed painting portraits and life drawing in a face-to-face setting. With this human connection off the table, I turned to finding connection and stimulation in nature. For me, aside from its obvious aesthetic appeal, nature symbolises a wealth of values that speak to our primal existence; from the sustenance of food, to the sensuality of blooms. I created these vibrant pieces to invite this symbolism, colour and movement into the increasingly one-dimensional, monochrome, and stuck existence experienced in the modern home. All my canvases are repurposed, and I use water soluble oil paint."
